Re-Search

Research is iterative - that is to say, it is not a straightforward linear process. This is indicated in its name: research.

The prefix "re-" means to do something again. For example, re-wind a video, re-wash dirty dishes, or re-do an assignment. The very word re-search implies you will have to search multiple times in order to find what you are looking for.

Be Flexible

You may not find the "perfect" source that covers exactly what you want, but that is a good thing! After all, if you found a source that was about your exact topic, there is no need for you to write your paper.

As you search, look for new keywords and concepts that will allow you to expand or narrow your search and then incorporate them into your search.
